Idiot-proof method for burning DreamSNES and roms
Easiest way to get your SNES roms playing... download burnero's Selfboot inducer from http://www.consolevision.com/burnero and get your SBI pack from there or from dipacks.cjb.net. install selfboot inducer to c:\selfboot or similar. put DreamSNES.sbi or whatever in your SBI pack is called into c:\se...

This might sound like it goes without saying, but you aren't 'adding folder' when you burn, are you? All files like 1st_read.bin, ogdtex.pvr, etc should be in the cd root. DPWWW, DPETC, should be added as folders seperately, again in the cd root. Make sure you're doing it that way. I don't use nero ...

there's the plain files version up now. you should be able to burn that with *whatever* instead of using the boot kit and then boot it up with a boot disc like utopia. Try updating/getting an ASPI layer. Windows XP doesn't come with one, but once I tried a few 'fixes' cdrecord, cdrwin, everything ex...

as long as it's for personal use... you need a bba or serial cable, a slave disc for the dc (i think) and some knowhow to rip the gd-rom from your dc to your computer. i've never done this myself, but i know it's the only way to do it. also, i don't know how big your game is but a gd-rom holds way m...

Here's a question... PW 2.6 has a splash screen as the browser is loading, which is just a jpg image (actually a bunch, and they cycle to a different one each time you load PW up). Would it be possible to put a similar splashscreen on XDP? Since I never used DP before your version, I don't know if D...

What I find absolutely absurd is the no smoking in nightclubs laws that are being passed in recent years. At a nightclub, people are looking to do essentially two things: 1) Ingest large quantities of alcohol before driving home. 2) Find a complete stranger to have unprotected sex with at the end of...

Man, i still can't see anything. Can you guys see my last two posts about what I've seen with XDP3v5 yet? I can see all your posts just fine and am looking forward to the next release. Also, I found something (I forget where on the web I found it) that claims to be a megadrive emu taken from dreamp...

What would we like to see next?
I am getting a lot of use out of the browser the way it is, playing movies and Flash animations... just another reason why my DC is my favorite distraction from my schoolwork. For those of you reading that haven't tried it, the video quality of the built-in sofdec player is outstanding(way better th...

pvr
I've had no problems with seepvr, but i haven't really tested it with a whole lot of files. If you want to just create your own images from scratch, just make a bmp in MS paint or whatever and then run pvrconv and it should work.... 256 x 256 pixels 24-bit bitmap worked for me. It is supposed to als...

i think i'm on to something here...
if you have seepvr, open the pvr image in that and save it as a bmp. then edit the bmp with whatever software you have and convert it back with pvrconv. i just tried the .pvr->.bmp->.pvr and it seemed to work, although i didn't edit the .bmp at all... but it should work for you. here's what i typed ...

pvr
I found a command-line tool on a japanese site called pvrconv. It doesn't come with a readme or anything, but if you just type "pvrconv" at the c:\ promt, it will give you a list of what it's looking for sort of like cdrecord does if you tell it to do something it doesn't understand. if yo...

ADX Encoders
Is it possible to use any of those ADX Encoders as and external audio encoder in TMPGEnc? Or perhaps demux an MPG into an M1V and MP2, convert the mp2 to wav in sound forge xp or cooledit (or maybe audacity? i'm not sure if the current version will open an mp2...), then to ADX with whatever tool and...

BEAUTIFUL!
ALRIGHT!!! I've got movies playing (finally) And they look GREAT (especially considering the bitrate i used to fit the whole movie on one disc...) this honestly looks almost as good as the VCD I ripped it from did when I watched it on my friend's DVD player, and I compressed the crap out of it. The...

sfd movies
Thanks for the help guys. I'm on my way home from school now and I'll try burning another disk. From what I've seen of this browser, it's got a lot of potential for making really good menus for all my movies files, so I can't wait to get videos playing on it to see if the playback is better than Gyp...

sfd still won't play
OK, I have my .sfd file in the dpwww directory with my index.html, and I made the link to the sfd just like you said, so that line looks like this: movie So, the star wars background looks right, my tie fighter screen saver looks cool, but the star wars video clips don't play b...
