There was about the same amount of craptastic games in the past aswell.. just back then, crappy games werent super hyped... I prefer the past, as i didnt have any shitty games for my sega, but about 5 of my ps2 games, i shoudnt have bought... Or its just that i have made more mistakes buying games n...

If where you live is anything like where i live.. you should be able to pick up a used Dc at a garage sale for like $15-20... If you love your old one so much, you could just get another one for cheap and swap out the gd-rom drive in that one into you sentimental DC...
