It's summer....and
We are in the middle of summer, and just like every past year this place totally dies down. So with a lack of users living on the boards, What is everyone doing with their miserable season?

The reason it dies down is because everyone is out doing stuff, because this is the best season.Nico0020 wrote:We are in the middle of summer, and just like every past year this place totally dies down. Only reason I'm on my PC right now, is I'm waiting for some friends to get here so we can start drinking! WOOOOOHOOOO.

Re: It's summer....and
I'm working all over the place making glasses, playing shows with my band, and revisiting an old Dreamcast project of mine when time permits. When the overtime and/or insane amount of travel at work dies off in a few weeks, I also intend to flesh out a short story idea I've had brewing for a while and work on a movie editing project. I'm also hoping to be picking up a new car in the coming weeks, whenever it shows up at the dealer. They had to order it from the factory.

I'm taking 8 credit hours of summer classes right now, and it's pretty time consuming.
It's thinking...

Working and trying to not go in default on my student loans. That, and playing a whole lot of Metal Gear.

Re: It's summer....and
Just got back from Ledao Waterpark.
First time I have ever been to a public non-beach swimming place that didn't smell of Chlorine. It also had green water, slimey floors and rusty stairs leading up to the waterslides.
I have clearly been in China too long though because just like everybody else, I didn't care. Maybe the hundreds of Asian girls in bikinis had something to do with it.
Tomorrow I am taking the 2-hour high-speed super-duper train to Beijing for shopping, much-needed western food and a fascinating visit to the British Embassy to do paperwork (woohoo!)

I'm at the same boat with Evilaco64. Some BS happened between me and Gamefly and I left. I'm seriously fucked at the moment. Other than that I'm going to see Coldplay tonight.

Working, tennis (I'm on three teams this season), and spending what little time is left with friends and playing games.

Re: It's summer....and
Mooring. Company van. 24 hour shifts. Sometimes work multiples back-to-back. First job I've ever loved.
Basically, it's like being on call, but with full pay. We tie up ships on docks from the mouth of the Mississippi all the way to Baton Rouge. Some days are really easy, and I only get a couple of jobs. Meaning I'm just sitting at my house laying in bed, watching TV. But others catch up with you, when you have 6-10 jobs in a shift, and don't get any time for sleep. It's really good money though. Get paid every week. For just 3 days, I make nearly 1,000.
