Honestly, these are pretty impressive from a technical standpoint, but they just go to show that the 2600 is basically good for nothing.

Psh. I like my Atari. It's just a completely different style of video gaming than what we're used to.
Just like video games in the NES/SNES era are completely different gameplay styles compared to video games in the PSX/N64 era, etc. the Atari is a different gameplay style than anything after it.
I never had one as a kid but I got one a few months ago and did some mods to it. Disabled and removed the RF connection and installed RGB, S-video, and composite jacks. Also got a Harmony Encore cartridge to play ROMs from SD card, so I can play all those new games on it. Those Sonic/Mario games are technically impressive, but aren't really fun because those types of games aren't really suited to the hardware.

Those Mario and Megaman clones are better than any official Atari game I had.
Sonic 1 wasn't good on the Master System either. Sonic's physics are too complex for older systems.
