Im not really a fan, but from what i've heard of them they sounded bloody good, he didn't deserve to die the way he died

I just got back from my music and politics class at my college, but on the way over there I was listening to the radio and I heard about it on the radio. Very sad news, Pantera was friggin amazing, and Dimebag is a great metal/rock guitar player. We talked about it briefly in class, and a lot of people were shocked. I can't believe some idiot shot him, and in a way im glad he, in turn was killed himself.

Yes its pretty sad news, i heard the tale end of the news report on imus this morning. They where calling him "bodybag" instead of dimebag..i thought he had overdosed or died some other cliche rock and roll death. Someone at my job told me he was shot, im still shocked.

This sucks. I heard about this when I woke up, but didn't hear the name. Only "Heavy metal guitarest shot and killed". I get to school and the goths tell me about it, and I was shocked. I wasn't a huge Pantera fanatic, but I have their Vulgar Display Of Power album and I must say it's one of the best metal albums I've ever heard.

Why couldn't it have been Lars Ulrich?

i was really hoping pantera would get back together and bury their differences but thats never gonna happen now

i got into the band acouple of years back. when i was little i remember my uncle and rex would always play together. I had no idea who he was at the time, but last time my uncle came back into town Rex came over to get him cause they were gonna go play at a club. I freaked out when I realized it was him, and that i had always known him. Sad indeed though, but bands loose memebers. I wish i had known a little bit more about the rest of the band members to fully understand what has been lost.
