I decided to install SP2 on my dad's laptop, but after it was installed I realized I was using the Slate custom theme on there before, and the SP2, like SP1, has a new version of uxtheme.dll that has to be patched to use custom themes. Luckily I found a hacked one already:

That should work fine on the final build of SP2.

Theres like a 20-port range for BitTorrent. Should be enough ports for it to work fine.melancholy wrote:A max of 10 connections? Those Bittorrent people aren't going to like that.Sin-Tex wrote:Reasons not to install it:

I knew the exact date of the final release days before, was expecting it that day,and it was released right on time :)
If you say it's that bad to install SP2,I'll wait a while so they release a set of more patches or a SP3 then :)
I'll use thr good ol' Win98SE with the Unofficial Service Pack 1.5 until then :)

They're meant for Win2k but they also work for XP. There's some other handy guides on that site too.
That's what I'm on, mainly for the low memory usage and dos support, but I want to switch back to XP since I can't get steam to work on 98SE (It just crashes.) On XP it doesn't give me any trouble, but then again that was months ago, back when I had a PII 350 (I know XP on a PII is odd, but it really isn't THAT bad.)If you say it's that bad to install SP2,I'll wait a while so they release a set of more patches or a SP3 then

By the way, in my searches, I found another very handy website.
