I have a riddle for everyone. You have till christmas to figure it out...

You are in a room with nothing in it. no lights, no chairs, no windows. In one corner of the room thier is a closet. In the other corner a light switch with 3 switches. In the closet thier is a light. You must figure out wich one of the three switches turns the light in the closet on. You may only open the closet door once, and you can't leave it open.
Right after you open it, the door closes. Also you cannot see the light through any seals or cracks in the door or the frame. The lightswitch has one working switch the other two are dummy switches.

Get someone to open the closet and get in. Then try the switches until the other person tells you the light turned on.

i know there is an ansewr...ive heard this b4...i just cant remember it...anyway my advice would to hire an electrician and find out which wire for which switch leads to the light in the closet

rip out the door, so you can see the light bulb from outside

anyway my idea:

Turn one switch on for some time......then switch it off. Then switch on the second one on for some time again...... then switch that off. Then IMMEDIATELY switch on third one for some time....then leave that ON.

Now open closet, if it is ON then it is the third switch. If it isn't on then FEEL the bulb. If it is HOT then it is the 2nd switch, if it is COLD it is the first switch.

EDIT- Actually there is really no point in turning the first one on

Just turn on 2 of the switches...wait 10 seconds or so...then shut one of the two off leaving one on. Open door...bulb that is lit is obviously the switch that is on. Bulb that is warm is one that was on...but you turned it off....cold bulb is the last remaining switch. So...where's the tough part on this one?

If a bottle and a bottlecap cost 55 cents together and the bottle costs 50 cents more then the cap, how much does the bottle cost and how much does the cap cost. ?

There is no doorway. It is a completely bricked up room. No holes, no obvious way out and the only thing you have is a chair.

rub your hands together until they are sore, use the saw to cut the chair in half, two halves make a whole climb through the hole then shout until your voice is horse then get ont the horse and escape
