Kazaalite vs Winmx

I am currently using WinMX but the queues are getting annoying. So if anyone here uses Kazaalite. I ask How does it have NO spyware, does ti have fast downloads, is it better than WinMX. I want it to download PD roms.

It has no spyware. However, I find the content quite lacking.

For stuff as obscure as PD roms, I'd suggest the best P2P ever, Direct Connect.

DC++ is the God of all p2p, Mirc not withstanding...

And no, you do not have to share 10+gigs...some hubs have a very small share min, like say 2 gigs. That's not asking much eh?

from what i hear, Kazaa Lite is considered warez. Therefor its not to be spoken of here. I recall hearing that i think. i am not sure so dont quote me on it.

It's lacking as far as beginning users are concerned. You have to start somewhere to get those 2 gigs to share, and when practicaly every decent hub has a share minimum of at least that, you don't get too far.

That's true. But not all hubs are content-specific, so just...well..heh cant say any more.

Back on topic: I've got an empty hard drive in my computer, on which I've placed a 10 gig dummy file, which I share on DC.

I know that won't work for most people, but it does for me.

Well I'm off. I've got to go warez a bank.

oh i dont consider it warez but i have seen others on here calling it that, i dont call it anything, i just use it every once in a while

kazaa is great for porn and mp3s. xdcc just rulz for latest apps and games. DC is good for findly oldies, like psx games.

How come when you download a file it just shows the K icon, and you have to hold the mouse over it to find out the speed, and how much is already downloaded?

i dont really see the big deal about spyware anyway....but anyway, i dont like winMX cause you cant download from more then one person at once hence the queues and slow transfers.

I'm pretty sure it only works with KaZaA Lite v2.0 - and possibly v2.0.2 but they might have disabled it: http://k-lite.tk
