Re: I'M BACK
Here are some things I will bring back to the forum to make it great again.
1) SPAM WARS
Everybody loved a good spam war. I will delegate this task accordingly
2) ANIME DISCUSSION
Unlike most people, i got into Dreamcast Emulation by trying to convert Neon Genesis Evangelion episodes I'd downloaded off Kazaa into DiVX files I could burn and play on DCDiVX because I didn't have a TV in my bedroom. It took forever, and half the episodes still didn't work, but smashing one out to anime tiddies in the comfort of my bedroom was worth it.
3) DREAMSNES RUMOURS
I heard it's out this year or next, and games will run fullspeed
4) ARGUMENTS WITH NYAR
Did you know that Runescape is shit? Guess which wanker disagrees
5) JEEBA
Where is that guy anyway?
6) DAMADFIDDLER PROJECTS
I heard he's currently converting a Tesla Model 3 so it's made of mahogany and makes banjo sounds when you brake
7) BONEYS DC DOOM NEWS
This was my first website dedicated to Dreamcast. I made two updates and I may now make a third.
THAT DREAMCAST MAGAZINE
Remember that fanzine thing? Whooo the controversy. That was the dramatic highlight of my young adult years.
9) ACE
Where is that guy anyway?
10) XYLENE
The ultimate user.

Well this is just dumb, but I'll look the other way because I used Dragyn's Image SlideShow and GypPlay for similar purposes, just using footage of actual people.Specially Cork wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2019 1:49 pm 2) ANIME DISCUSSION

Dude's got two kids now. Not one, but two. Kids clearly get in the way of Dreamcast Emulation and that's pretty stupid so I'd say kids are pretty stupid.
I don't know exactly what happened, but he seems to be MIA now. We agreed to a trade, he'd send me a vintage Mac I was interested in and I'd do some mod work to his NES. He paid to send me the vintage Mac advertised as working fine, but when it arrived, there were multiple problems with it that are all standard problems associated with that model Mac, not problems I'd associate with shipping damage. I don't think he was trying to trick me or anything, but he just said he didn't have those issues with it when he sent it but we never worked it out. He never sent me the NES and I have this broken Mac sitting in my closet. I bought a similar but better vintage Mac instead.Specially Cork wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2019 1:49 pm 6) DAMADFIDDLER PROJECTS

Around that time he started distancing himself with me on social media because of politics, so I'm guessing he just bounced out of here and abandoned our little barter.
I'm looking forward to it. How about some pushing for some Doom DC matchmaking?Specially Cork wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2019 1:49 pm 7) BONEYS DC DOOM NEWS

He's on facebook. We've talked recently, though it was brief
Married with a kid. Pops on IRC occasionally.

My life will be lackluster until I can play Home Improvement fullspeed + cycle accurate on my Dreamcast system.Specially Cork wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2019 1:49 pm 3) DREAMSNES RUMOURS

Re: I'M BACK
Apologies Bailey Bilal Xia. I remember you fondly.
Not joking - for some reason I've been getting ads on my Facebook for a new city being built in Pakistan and they're offering apartments for £150/month. Would this be a shrewd investment?

Re: I'M BACK
lol. I moved out of Pakistan 8 years ago.
I've visited many times and explored investment opportunities, it is truly an untapped gold mine. Terrifically easy to make money but their is a ton of corruption and whatever this apartment ad is. I would stay clear of it.

Re: I'M BACK
Thanks for the advice. It does seem like the kind of place where you get in in for cheap now and make loads of money in a decade or two but yeah the corruption is a risk I'd rather not take. Much appreciated.cube_b3 wrote: ↑Sat May 30, 2020 4:51 pm lol. I moved out of Pakistan 8 years ago.

@Darc: Yup.
@Boney
This is the city, apparently it is almost completely developed. I went there in 2006 and it was empty. It seems to be well populated now.

Re: I'M BACK
Not really. I mean, I am not saying I have anything against him or that I don't want him around if he comes around. But he apparently left intentionally, so I'll respect that.

Re: I'M BACK
That's a good perspective, I suppose. He messaged me before he left and kind of like me, he wasn't happy.
I think it has been many years and we have attained some level of maturity, maybe reaching out could bring happiness.
See, we have a lot of history and we are obviously no longer as free as we were 5 years back. Life is different now, so reconnecting and just being on positive terms is a good thing.
However, if one of you is republican and the other a democrat. Then probably best to remain a respectful distance away cause toxicity has left the classic forums and now in our actual real social media accounts.

Re: I'M BACK
Yeah, I'm not really opposed to that if he comes around. I try to main cordial and respectful to everyone, even people with whom I have disagreements.cube_b3 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 17, 2020 2:54 pm That's a good perspective, I suppose. He messaged me before he left and kind of like me, he wasn't happy.

I'm not a Republican, but yeah, right now I'm just staying away from any political conflicts.

Re: I'M BACK
A lot of my memories of this place and IRC are arguing with people. Feels odd because I haven't argued with anyone online for years and years now. not sure if it's because I'm more mature if it's just because I can't be bothered. I definitely stay away from politics.
