You Don't Mess with the Zohan
Too bad the later 2/3 of the film tends to get boring. The first part is sooo funny.

No, none of this film is funny. Adam Sander has now joined the likes of Will Farrell, Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, and the rest of those lamesauce queers.

Re: You Don't Mess with the Zohan
Adam sandler joined that as soon as he left SNL. Just like all of them, they may do one okay movie ( zoolander and Anchorman both had good laughs ) but they will never be what they were on SNL. They are type casted, will always play the same roles.

Re: You Don't Mess with the Zohan
I didn't know that Adam Sandler played Zohan when I saw the movie. I didn't even know Sandler was involved in this movie at all (but apparently he also wrote the the script). The only other Sandler movie I ever saw was Punch Drunk Love, which wasn't bad at all iirc, but it's been a while.

Re: You Don't Mess with the Zohan
I saw it with some friends... probably the most painful 90 minutes of my life. The only reason I continued watching it was because I thought my friends were enjoying it, but it turns out they hated it as much as I did. I'm not sure why we even bothered to watch the whole thing.MulletMan13 wrote:Speaking of fail I have 3 words:

Re: You Don't Mess with the Zohan
Honestly, the only thing Adam Sandler is good at is playing a retarted fratboy.
I've seen a few of his more serious movies (Punch Drunk Love, Click, etc) and it's just not right. Punch Drunk Love was alright, though it had an awful score. Click started out kinda funny and became a totally different movie by the end.
And as for The Love Guru, I've never seen it. Mike Myers isnt that bad though.

Adam Sandler is fail, period. Punch-Drunk Love is the only exception: it's a very great movie. I enjoyed Little Nicky, but I wouldn't say it was great cinema or anything...
It's thinking...

Re: You Don't Mess with the Zohan
The Love Guru was just poorly written. The jokes weren't funny, Myers' character isn't funny, nothing was good about the movie. It's Austin Powers, minus everything that makes Austin Powers funny.Eviltaco64X wrote:And as for The Love Guru, I've never seen it. Mike Myers isnt that bad though.

I generally agree, but I really liked Anger Management.|darc| wrote:Adam Sandler is fail, period. Punch-Drunk Love is the only exception: it's a very great movie. I enjoyed Little Nicky, but I wouldn't say it was great cinema or anything...

The Wedding Singer is Sandler's funniest film.

Re: You Don't Mess with the Zohan
I think Adan Sandler isn't type casted, Zohan wasn't a great movie neither was it meant to be... It was a hilarious funny movie that didn't expect you to think to much, as long as you do that you'd enjoy the ride.
As for The Love Guru, the movie was bad but it has been so long since I've seen Mike Myers in anything aside from Shreck that I accepted the movie just as it was.
Give us a pound.
Lock it down.
Tickle Tickle!
