If the fans are connected directly to the PSU, then you can't adjust the speed. The motherboard is what lets you do that.

While there are dead games on Live, such as Steel Battalion and MechAssault, if I go and get a couple friends to play it online I can . Now if I wanted to play RE: Outbreak file 1 or 2 or MGS3, nope, totally boned because Capcom has to run the servers. Will MS bring servers down? Probably, when? No...

I tried it about a week ago. I only used it for a few days for the same reasons already said. Even after I disabled UAC, I still got prompts for things when I wanted to go to my other partition to do the most basic stuff like play music. It was annoying as hell, so I switched back.

Problems dual boot Vista with Windows XP

I'm trying to dual boot Vista and XP. I already have windows XP installed, and that's my main OS. I want Vista so I can watch it progress and also use it to watch HD videos and TV shows on my xbox 360. I can't seem to get things to work right though. I have 3 partitions, one for windows XP, one for ...

It's strange. I was almost totally out of gaming for the longest time, but then suddenly it just picked back up again once Oblivion came. And now I'm back in the swing of it. The best thing I found to help push my gaming habits back into gear is to limit my selection. Sure, I have a huge library of...

All binaries on newsgroups are encrypted so no one can see what you are downloading, only how much. The usually get unencrypted by the newsreader.

Dropped my GBC on concrete, worked fine just had a small chip. Was painting one of Dreamcast and I accidentally gently stepped on it, won't read many discs anymore. It can be fixed with a laser adjustment but I have others that work fine so I'm in no rush to fix it. I take really, really good care o...
