I was watching an old episode of "My Wife and Kids", and Michael and Junior were playing dreamcast! No idea what game, but it was pretty awesome.

One of the strippers on HBO's "G-String Divas" also had a dreamcast.
But they only showed her playing an audio cd on it.

I wonder what kinds of video games strippers play.

Going back a few years as far as consoles that I've seen on sitcoms/shows:

snes on Roseanne
nes on Cosby show
atari 2600 on three's company
atari 7800 on home improvement
ps2 on king of queens...also one episode where arthur buys/plays Pong game
generic sounding genesis on step by step
snes on full house
atari lynx on full house
That's all I remember right now..sure there's more..

oddly enough, I personally have never seen a dc on a tv show

There was a Dreamcast in one of the early CSI episodes. The conversation about it sounds like an advertisement:
CSI wrote:NICK STOKES: Dude, you got NFL2K for Dreamcast?

GREG SANDERS: Bought it the day it came out. Those graphics are killer, aren't they? My team is the Falcons. Who do you use?

NICK STOKES: Randy Moss...

There was at least one episode of Fresh Prince where they had an NES set up in the living room.

Also, I'm sure everyone knows about that episode of South Park where Cartman gets all excited about the Dreamcast.

Dunno if they still does this but the thing that always bothered me in the past when they were depicting a modern console is that they would use sound effects that were obviously from the 2600 era of games; what's up wit dat?

Sound effects from 2600 games are universally recognizable as "video game sounds".

Heh, probably was. Sega paid to have a Saturn prominently displayed in the living room of the Drew Carey Show.

I recall an episode of CSI or Law & Order or some show like that where a Gamecube was actually used as the murder weapon. Guess that's what happens when you put a handle on a console.

I saw that episode. He wasn't actually playing a game, as they would have to pay for royalties. Instead, they just threw some random sound effects in.

I've also seen Gameboys (the brick ones) on more than one epsisode of home improvement.

and with the lynxes and full house: I've seen them in two different episodes; one where Rebbeca's cousin comes to visit and enter that twin competition; and on another episode, a kid is playing one at a makeout party that steph was attending; and as mentioned, and they had a whole episode where they played some fake game on a snes.

and I forgot the name of the movie (it was one with Will Smith) but a turboexpress was used several times during said film. I think it was enemy of the state, or something else????

I've always noticed the saturn in the dining room of the drew carey show...and also recall a joke being made about the colecovision on south park; an episode where the boys are sleeping over at kenny's house, ask if they have a nintendo, and they say all they have is a coleco hooked up to a black and white tv; and hilarity ensued.

I hate the way people "pretend" to play games on sitcoms. It's as if they've been told to "move your fingers and shake your body a little". Fortunately (bash alert) it's usually a PS2 or Xbox so...

I saw a Dreamcast in a movie called (I think) "seventeen again" and the kids there were playing Ready 2 Rumble.

I also think I saw a half second shot of a Dreamcast on a commercial for a vaccum cleaner but I'm not sure.

Eminem has also done a freestyle with Mitsurugi's BGM from Soul Calibur.

There's also an ooold audio clip of Jon Stewart grilling Ice Cube on his gaming habits where he asks something like "Have you seen the commercials? 'it's thinking...' WHAT'S IT THINKING ABOUT?!" :)

I like seeing the ol' DC on TV.
