I rented Star Wars Ep III for XBOX

And it rather rocks! I've been on this Star Wars kick for a while and this has come very close to fufilling my desire to wield a light saber. The difficulty is well balanced so far, except for Count Dooku who was a damn hard first boss. There's lots of cool moves to execute. Graphics are stunning. And the stages serve as nice in-betweens for the real movie scenes nicely.

Right now I can't get past the boss in the Jedi temple. I can beat down the lady boss no prob but her teacher is tough.

Anyone else like this game?

I've beaten the game and found it quite fun - I would like to see another game more similar to jedi power battles - coop lightsaber fighting just rocks! If only the game had more of the coop levels.

guys, seriously, get LEGO STAR WARS!!!

it rawks!, even has coop fights and stuff

and for a more normal SW game, try jedi outcast, its quite good

Episode 3 was a fun game, but once you beat it and play a few duel games it gets boring and becomes pointless to play. I only got it cause my gf wanted it.

That's a great game too.

The only negatives are the mini games. The pad racing in Episode 1 and the shoot-em-up in Episode 2 are just evil. The 3D space shooting bit at the beginning of Episode 3 isn't bad, but just isn't anywhere near as good as the rest of the game.

yup, the pod racing took me way to long to complete, i always got shot up by those tuskens and then lost the section

the diagonal shoot em up was kind of nice, but the design is so that you can get stuck in dead ends and such, the idea is nice, but it could have ben done way better

the 3d shooting thing was very very cool imho

I do have to get Lego Star Wars sometime, as for Jedi Outcast - I have it but just can't get into it. I fully enjoyed Jedi Knight on the PC, however I was looking forward to having a lightsaber right away in outcast... Stupid Katarn giving up his powers like that...

I suck at FPS games, so about what level would I finally get my lightsaber back?

oh, w00ps, didnt mean jedi outcast, i meant jedi academy, you dont play katarn, but you do get a saber right from the start, and even better, halfway through you get to decide between a single, double or darth maul style sabre

there are also some cool evil force powers like force grip (brilliant, you can pick up and chuck storm troopers of cliffs, bang em into the wall, smack em onto the ground, or simply choke em to death)

Yeah I like Academy - some of the story could be better, but overall I was satisfied with it. I found Force Speed to be a nice power when dueling - especially when fighting the lightsaber wielding grunts.

I am scared to buy Star Wars games. While there have been some great ones, a lot of them have just plain sucked. So far the only 2 I have liked is Battlefront and that first one for Nintendo 64.

hmm, battlefront wasnt that good imho, i got it on XBOX, and i actually found playing it single player with easy bots to be somewhat fun, but the rest...

the key to star wars games is just getting the good ones, read reviews, and dont buy into the hype
