Samurai Pizza Cats BoR Mod

Well, since I saw Ian Michael's post about his Turtles mod for Beats of Rage, I decided to do my own mod (not in direct competition with his fine mod) based on a show that was showed in the late 90s and a lot of people may/may not remember it called the Samurai Pizza Cats. These heroic furry heros got canned by Saban because the Power Rangers were the "superior license" at the time. ...and look at Power Rangers now, not worth a penny. My goal is to bring back the Pizza Cats larger than life and also implement a lot of things that people may not have concerned when you step up to the plate with the BoR Edit pack. What am I talking about? How about a real cutscenes with music AND voice acting! Yes, voice acting, a major part of what made the Pizza Cats what it is today.

There's a few pictures on there of what I have done so far. Ok, so I don't have sprites on there right now...that's because they're being done by scratch, making them a higher quality brand of sprites than ever before.

If any of you would like to contribute with this project, I'm more than ready to get some new hands going on this project. It's golden to be sure, but it won't get done any faster while there's only one person on this thing. In any case, I should have something playable by this weekend, I hope.

Consolevision doesn't really care about my mod but I was hoping that you guys would give a little bit more love. Well, I'm going to get off my soapbox and you guys can see what I have done so far. It's not a lot but once the beta comes out, you'll have just a little taste of what's to come.

PS. If you're interested in doing a voice over part, I made a thread in the Help forum and I put the url of the parts that I need filled on there.

Indeed. BOR is one of the best things that could have happened to the DC scene.

Wow, what an explosion! I knew I would get more support from you guys! impetus, I'd love to sign you up for voice acting, just pm me or email me about what characters you would like to take on and I'll see what I can do. Orange_Ribbon... I need your episodes because I need some more material for the game, that is, if you don't mind. And about that Super Mario mod, that one is going to be cool. I think I'm going to let my sister handle that one (she's going to do some of the maps on the SPC game with my help of course) and she's an excellent protege. Yes, I can honestly say that BoR is the greatest thing to come to the DC scene.

BTW there is a SPC NES game - great Japanese title.

Heh, I've been looking for one too - I'm the king of voice overs, but I've never seen the show before.

anyways, this show always cracked me up. you gonna use the intro song from the show? that was catchy when i was little. "who do you call when you want some pepperoni? Samuri Pizza Cats da da dadada" lol

If I didn't use the intro, I would probably get a major smack down so yeah! I'm definitely going to use the intro (with a minor change, but you'll like the change I'm sure) Metafox, I've been looking for a site for you and I haven't really found one so I guess I'll have to make my own!

...Yes, the SPC NES game is awesome. I have it and play it every day on my GBA w/ PocketNES.
Lastily, if you didn't like the Samurai Pizza Cats before, all I ask is that you play the game at least once and you'll see just how good they really are. Not with my take on the show but with the comedy being built in and the characters and everything. The show in itself is classic and if you don't want to at least play the game, that's your choice. You don't know what you'll be missing.

Today, after some very late-night work (and you can ask impetus because he was up while I was up) and some serious headache action, I'll release some WIP animation work I have done on Polly. What's been so nerve racking is how am I going to make this armor move? It's not regular armor. Finally, I was able to think straight and animate her right. Now, I should be able to work on her walk and attack animations and once I'm done with that, I'm moving on with Bad Bird. By that time, the first playable stage should be in sight. Bare with me guys. It's going to be this way until the very end

I'm still looking for voice acting parts so sign up!

You can find video clips easy...and you probably use it every day! It's called Shareaza

or Kazaa. The only episode I was able to find is the first Episode, but that'll work because it pretty much shows everyone except Gurulu, Carla, and The Bad Noise. I hope that works for you.
