I am ready to pay for an emulator.
I know that many of the coders here make these emulators for fun, but maybe some of us in the DC scene can put some money together and pay some one for the time and work used in making an emulator.

Cmtz i see no problem in doing that. If some one can make a game contest why not an emulator contest. Maybe you could start it.
but i see nothing wrong in wanting to be proactive. Money talkes bull-shit walks

Cool! That sounds like a good idea. I'll put in $30 in the contest and if anyone else will help that would rock. Lets see if more people come in. You guys don't have to put 30 dollars. I think that even 3 or 5 dollars is good.
Another thing would be someone to hold the money while this goes on. Who here is trusted?

PC Engine is much desired, as is working Genesis with sound, but that's already close...
There still hasn't been a CPC 464 emulator, and it really shouldn't be too difficult.
Oh, and is 3 minutes before posting to ask for a response some kind of record for here?![Wink ](./images/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif)

Hmmm.... off the top of my head I can think of several possible emulators that, to the best of my knowledge, are not available...
PC Engine (fullspeed with sound) or better yet, Turbo Duo
Sega CD
Jaguar (roms are <4 MB in size, so should be possible)
Jaguar CD
NeoGeo CD
fullspeed Genesis/SNES
x86/DOS
GBA (although only the 4MB carts would be usable)
Palm OS
3DO
Philips CD-i
I'd be willing to donate too.
Win95, noun: A 32 bit patch for a 16 bit GUI for an 8 bit OS running on a 4 bit processor, written by a 2 bit company that can't stand 1 bit of competition.

I think an Emulator contest would be awesome, i'd put in 20$ for it. I would like to see a decent PSX emulator, or a full speed SNES/Genesis emulator. Though more leaning towards PSX. But we can set up rules and what not on a later date. Couldn't we set up a PayPal account and put donation money into it? Have someone trusted set up the account and watch over it. I would so love to see this become reality.
OOH! YA! Duffman Says a lot of things.
