indeed, illegal very much so

they even imply that it is a pre-release copy by saying only pre-release copies were leaked. report the dude for e-bay fraud or whatever it is.

it says its on a CD-R, so its an illegal copy someone has burned. Their are only a few copies of the original that are legal going around

um... even the original pre-releases would be illegal (depending on how sega's agreements with the previewers worked) usually they dont let you sell the beta stuff...

it wasn't really beta though, it was given out to Journos so they could do write ups on them and the review would be in a mag before game came out, Kron owns one. I've seen one sell one ebay before and it went for a lot of money.

yea, but im pretty sure that magazines had to sign things saying they wouldnt give it out, most copies are probably because somebody who worked there ended up keeping it and decided to make some $ by selling

Prima got a couple copies too. In fact, I've heard theories that Prima leaked one of their copies in retaliation for the game being cancelled, making their strategy guides useless. Poor guys. This is why big releases should never be cancelled. Anyone know where to get one of the strategy guides, anyways? I'd love to own a useless piece of history. It'd look nice next to my Tandy computers.

Actually, I saw a HL strategy guide for DC in Media Play (not sure if that is a national chain, or if it is only in the SE US) within the past six months. It was one of the few DC items they still had, along with Bomberman Online and Alien Front Online :( .
