I assume one of those is supposed to be US but which one.
No it's all meant to be UK.
What I am saying is that I know a lot of people who have moved from the UK to Australia, and almost all of them say that when they were living in the UK they had far less disposable income than when living here in Australia. They say that things generally cost more in the UK. Their currency is worth more, and they earned more money, but because general day to day living costs much were higher, they had less money that they could spend on leisure activities.
Although, in recent times apparently the disposable income gap between Australia and the UK has narrowed.

You know that's a MASSIVE sore point for me, I have always wanted a portable TV but it's something that I've just never bothered getting. I suppose it's too late now.

As always, modern science has a solution: 30+ digital TV channels, 15 radio and sling hardware included for £5 a month. Looks like you get almost the same size viewing area, too
Yea they have pay TV via mobile (although only 8 channels I believe) here but it's through Telstra and I refuse to directly pay Telstra for any kind of service.
YOU BASTARD! that's my biggest regret of all, I had the opportunity to get that one christmas but instead I opted for Mickey Mouse Lan dof Illusion and Mortal Kombat

Never even thought of that, just a collectors piece now.

Price of Watchman around $20. Price of Nokia N73 $300+.

I don't think it was even that great back then? I've only ever used one once. Still wanted one, mind.

Fixed for ya
Those crazy Americans paying for handsets.
On that note, I'm going to be really interested in how well the iPhone does in Europe. $499 with a 2-year contract just won't fly over here. I'm expecting free on an 18-month contract within 6 months.

It is rather ridiculous, especially considering how low they drop the price much of the time with a two year contract. I don't think you should be spending $100 on a $250-$300 phone when you have to sign a two year, $40+ a month contract with it. The strange thing is that this situation has gotten worse, rather than better. There was a point where you could get quite decent phones for free with a contract, but now this is only the case with the older, about to be deleted models.

I'm hoping that Chinese clone gets adapted into English.
How to be a Conservative:
You have to believe everything that has ever gone wrong in the history of your country was due to Liberals.
