Just out of curiosity:

Is Duke Nukem 64 the same as the PC version, or is it like Doom 64 where they changed all the levels?

its the same just some improved graphics. i prefer the sega saturn version wel thats if you own a saturn netlink modem .. i do

It also has adult content removed. Like the strippers in the 1st level aren't there. Instead it's got trucks and a bunch of boxes, iirc. But then again, I haven't played the game in years.

The picture in the article was from 1999.

Correct, that pic was from before they began heavily modifying the unreal engine (pre Tournament 2003 and Unreal 2, which they also have had access to i believe). Last time I checked, they are sticking with that engine and George Broussard has gone on record to say that the game now looks nothing like the pics or movie released in 1999 (whether that is good or not is anyone's guess).

It used to be on the actual 3drealms website, but they were all removed as they no longer represented the games content.

I'm not really a graphics freak, I still play Duke Nukem 2, so you know, I'll prolly buy this game just for the hell of it. I mean it's duke nukem, ten years late or not it'll still be fun. Like 2 years ago I looked up something on it, and they had more pictures and videos, but I just checked for them and they've been taken down. Let me say however, they were much better than the on IGN, that looks like quake 2 on there, these were more modern, but I doubt they will be like doom 3 or nothin.

DNF was suppose to be a game like duke nukem 1 and 2 then they cancelled it and started making it like the fps then they release manhattin project which is actually DNF if they said that it was DNF critics would have bashed the review

I think they should announce DNF as gone and then release it whenever it is complete to make the critics quiet just like they did with many other games whcih returned after a 5 year break like Ninja Gaiden if tecmo announced ninja gaiden is under construction for like the same period as DNF then critics would've been even more hard on ninja gaiden cause when you wait you want good stuff...

No the clues is in the title, Duke Nukem Fourever - as in the fourth one, the one after Duke3D.

and Manhattan Project wasn't made by 3drealms, it was made by Arush and authorised by 3drealms so it can't have been it either.

The 64 version also had different guns and stuff, the Zero Hour game was pretty decent despite the fog everywhere.

I loved Duke Nukem 3D, as for the rest of them bleh.

I had more fun with DN3D between the game itself and level editing then I did with any other game.

I personally thought Duke Nukem 3D was a hell of a lot better then Quake (which was released about the same time). At least Duke Nukem 3D actually looked like places as where Quake was nothing but a bunch of boreing dull textured mazes. Even though Quake had a better engine, Duke Nukem 3D was easier to edit and the levels was more fun to play.

well maybe arush completed the shelved game by 3d realms who knows... but I still dont belive that they would make a whole new game when they had a 70% completed game just lying around all they did was complete and upgrade... it's me I refuse to belive anything else

The speed with which games technology moves, it wouldn't surprise me if they did.

Would anybody buy a game based on the Q3 engine for PC today, in the face of Source / Doom3 / Crytek / U2 engine based games? I'm pretty sure they wouldn't unless it offered something exceptionally special and unique, and I have a feeling the next Duke Nukem game when (if?) it comes out isn't going to be pushing any gameplay envelopes...

It's probably just going to be a slighty more understated version of Postal 2 to be honest.
