Awesome!
I would not buy this as a unit (as I'd feel much more accomplished in making this on my own), however, I would DEFINITELY pay a reasonable price for a guide or even a small book on how to do it.
I don't care if I'd fail several times in doing it; I just love hands-on things. I have modded several systems but this would really be awesome.

Here here. I have all the tools and hardware I need to make this thing (minus the case..) All I need is some direction from the guru's out there.
We should have a summer school program where they have you make a portable dreamcast.
hm...wouldn't it be funny if someone had their's hooked up to a cellphone so they could go online? Maybe then people would actualy use dreamcall besides myself...*sniff
later,
Kingbuzzo.

This is another forum in which dkap01 posted his creation. They also have no further news but one guy was able to salvage some pics. May take a while in dial-up, though.

Yes, I know. I cant wait for dkap01 to stop playing it and post a guide on it. I just want to know how he fit it in and the parts/tools. A case would be nice. I think the case could be sold to us for about 10-20 USD. Just my two cents. We might as well pay for his plastic table case former.
Very cool. Where are his medals?

although i agree that it is a very cool mod (and one that has been tried many times) but im not sure he deserves a "medal". 95% of the people the post in the hardware forums have done there own unique mods, but we never get a special medal (assumin' your talking about ranks, and someone else mentioned he get one), but again, it is a very cool and unique mod, if they give him one then they would have to give a special rank/medal to everyone who does a unique mod like this.Dark Savant0 wrote: Where are his medals?
but that is a very cool mod and i would probably pay ~200$ ( 150 more reasonable) for it assuming it is "sturdy" and the battery life isnt like an hour or 2. (wich it probably is i have a feeling, havent seen a note or anything about battery life)

This is above a mod, its more like a creation .MKE wrote:although i agree that it is a very cool mod (and one that has been tried many times) but im not sure he deserves a "medal".

I agree that most everyone here has done a mod, but he has done something more. This is what everyone here has wished for once or twice, and he has achieved it. I mean, anyone can paint it, or add leds, cause all you need is a little knowledge in painting, soldering, and a screwdriver of the right size. But he has taken the cake. They haven't even done this in Asia. But anyways, whatever. I really dont care, just making a comment on how cool it is.
Like I said before, I cant wait for a how to. How much are the cases?
