i use 6.0 pal but version 7.0 are great 2.

NESTERDC 7.1 suits me well since I've never experienced
any compatibility issues that v6.0 didn't have.
7.1 had a much more nicer font and more space for longer
filenames, even a good feature for diffrent controllers to be
recognized.
The only bad thing about v71 is, that all the nice themes people did
won't fit in the new menu system : (
