Which is the best NES emulator?

I've been trying several ones for the PC but each of them appears to have their own individual faults (such as no support for joypads, no extendable screen res options such as choosing 8/16/32-bit etc.).

Is there really one emulator which just about everyone uses? It appears choice isn't easy like it is with Mega Drive, Amiga, SMS/GG et al.

I use FCEUltra,

If you're using that it can have problems detecting USB joypads.

Nesticle is the best for most (i.e .nes roms), FWNES for famicom or .fam roms
