Well, it is exactly as he says it is. An HDD functioning as a speaker. So if you think he's lying, feel free to download it. But otherwise, it's not very high quality and such.

I have a couple of buds who did it. And it works! So on a scale of 1 to 10, I'd say its... old.

I didn't have an old HDD to use so I just got a nail, assloads of wire and some magnets and made a big coil instead.
Yes it's quiet. That's where an old ghetto PA amp comes into play (watch out, it gets hot! :P )

I made this a loooong fucking time ago, and it was great. I mounted them all in a little wooden cabinet with a laptop drive up top, a standard 3.5" drive in the center, and a oldschool 5.25" drive down at the bottom (it gave it a tweeter/midrange/woofer look that was really funnny.) It can get relatively loud if you can pump enough wattage into the things; it's pretty freaking funny.
I'm not Clessoulis. Seriously.

I forget where to connect the wires, but the cound is created by the viberations between the needle and platter.

Actually, in addition to the videos he has to prove it actually works, the guy at http://www.afrotechmods.com has a pretty detailed description of how to do it yourself as well as images that point out the points to solder the wires to.
