No, I didn't say that. Its pretty cool. http://www.afrotechmods.com is just the domain for that site, and has tons of other ghetto stuff too! I love that site...

Well, it is exactly as he says it is. An HDD functioning as a speaker. So if you think he's lying, feel free to download it. But otherwise, it's not very high quality and such.
I didn't have an old HDD to use so I just got a nail, assloads of wire and some magnets and made a big coil instead.
Yes it's quiet. That's where an old ghetto PA amp comes into play (watch out, it gets hot! )
I made this a loooong fucking time ago, and it was great. I mounted them all in a little wooden cabinet with a laptop drive up top, a standard 3.5" drive in the center, and a oldschool 5.25" drive down at the bottom (it gave it a tweeter/midrange/woofer look that was really funnny.) It can get relatively loud if you can pump enough wattage into the things; it's pretty freaking funny.
it works... but unless you feel like messing with amps and crap not to mention pulling apart hard drives with those funky screws its ok sounds like a set of headphones
Okay that is pretty cool. I thought it was just moving to a speaker in the background but the head is generating then music that is wicked now I need an amplifier I have 4 old HD's
Actually, in addition to the videos he has to prove it actually works, the guy at http://www.afrotechmods.com has a pretty detailed description of how to do it yourself as well as images that point out the points to solder the wires to.
