New Open Source Cross Platform Game

Brand new game engine for DC and Linux simultaneously with Win32 versions and PS2 versions potentially to come - cehbab told me he is sick of ports of games, and waiting for ports, and then the ports being disapointing so he is designing a game from scratch to work on as many platforms as possible and then be finished.

This looks to me like shaping up to be very promising, especially as the author intends to try to use the DC modem for future releases and described his idea for the game as "a cross platform open source PSO clone"

EDIT: I would have posted front page, but for some reason I can't, so any newsposters who happen along this please post, this is a very promising looking open source project

i downloaded the elf and converted to bin and booted with demo menu, looks very promising.

ok i put my tested Bins, in a zip with a readme for controls for the game

<edit> tripod is being dumb, someone pm me for url and mirror it.

someone with ftp access to dcemu please mirror this.

This is VERY cool... of course, if it's like PSO (ala internet) will it use the DC modem or will we need a BBA?

ok I downloaded it, I am kinda confused on how to burn this thing, can anyone explain this to me?

ok if you live in a country that is like in europe burn the palbin.bin to a cd with nero, just go to new cd and just put it on a cd

if your in USA or canada use the NTSCBIN.Bin and do the same thing

then get a demo menu or dchakker from the dcemulation homebrew site, burn it, its already self booted

then put the demo menu or dchakker disc in your dc and swap in to other cd wtih the .bin and open it.

really, if you dont know how to burn it dont even bother with this becuase its not even a game yet, just a simple tech demo to show you a few things, nothing much.

any coders out there should take a look at this guys source and help him out, I think this project has a LOT of potential
