What would be some good places to visit, just to getaway from the everyday norm?
Other than major cities in California, and Baja Cali.
Been to Vegas, Tampa, New York City.
Tokyo international.
Before decide to penny pinch and hit England.

Re: Traveling
Late to the party, but I will second New Orleans - just recommend going during the fall/winter months unless you want to deal with insane humidity. Food is amazing though and it's one of the more culturally-unique cities of the US (from my perspective).
Also - New Mexico is incredible if you like wide-open spaces, great views, and good food.
Sedona, AZ is wonderful too, but a bit more on the tourist-y side.
If you can't tell, I like the desert.

Re: Traveling
New England is pretty cool, especially the northern half. It's not all too big and fun to get lost on the weird, antiquated rural roads. Wait until around May or June if you don't like the cold.
It would be fun to go a little further and visit the Canadian Maritimes.
