PSO-GC-WII
To save me from having to dig out my Dreamcast and finding all cables, controllers, etc., dies the GC version of PSO work on Wii for the purposes of connecting to Sylverant server?

Re: PSO-GC-WII
I would assume not, since the original servers didn't work on the Wii, but I don't know enough about this to be honest.

As far as I know, there's no way to access the network from a Gamecube game running on a Wii, unfortunately.

Re: PSO-GC-WII
The game PSO ep1&2 was made to detect gamecube hardware, it cannot recognize wii hardware so the game on the wii can only be used for offline.

Re: PSO-GC-WII
Figured. I have no clue where my DC gear is...I bought a used PC clversion years ago that I used to play on one of the other servers. Think I can find it now? I also have the game for the Xbox, but I assume that won't work since PSO ran on MS Live servers for that console.
Can you tell I'm a fan?

Re: PSO-GC-WII
Yes, the xbox version cannot go online.
You have several options:
- Get a gamecube and go online
- Get a dreamcast, get the extra stuff required (like a BBA), get the game pso ver.1 or ver.2 and go online
- Get pso ver.2 for the pc and go online (easiest)
I know pso ver.2 ins't the same as ep1&2, but it's still PSO

Re: PSO-GC-WII
Was able to rig my Dreamcast up and wouldn't you know it, my PSO disc wasn't in the case. FFS. I guess I'll just play it on PC. I was looking forward to the nostalgia of playing on DC, but c'est la vie.K_I_R_E_E_K wrote:Yes, the xbox version cannot go online.

Have you given up on tracking down a DC copy of the game? I got my brand new copy of DCv1 for 0.99$ + 2.99$ (usd). For under 4 dollars, It was well worth itace wrote: Was able to rig my Dreamcast up and wouldn't you know it, my PSO disc wasn't in the case. FFS. I guess I'll just play it on PC.
