Apple has bought a stake in Imagination Technologies (creators of the Dreamcast PowerVR chip), joining intel and ARM, samsung... as another licensee who might have a custom cpu created using the technology.

I always thought dreamcast tech was relevant even in the presence of the much hyped xbox and ps2 hardware.

Writing games for Dreamcast is now just a step closer to writing games for the iphone, atom and majority of modern 3D mobile devices! Smaller, embedded memory models and tile-based deferred rendering graphics principles are common to these systems. PowerVR even managed to add T&L and shading which naysayers said would be impractical on PowerVR...

I saw this coming a long time ago... what a crying shame Sega didn't realise what they had in Dreamcast. :ROFCMEO: :cry:
