I followed this guide and got Ubuntu 7.10 running on my PS3
http://news.softpedia.com/news/Ubuntu-7 ... 3272.shtml
After the install I found Ubuntu to be fairly laggy. The mouse jumps all over the screen, windows and drop down menus take a while to move, and I need to click on things multiple times for the click to register. Its been a pretty disappointing experience, but I'm not hearing these kinds of complaints from any other PS3 users. Is there anything I can do to speed things up?

Can you paste /var/log/Xorg.0.log somewhere?

Sort of. It's no longer officially released/supported, but people still work on maintaining it and there are unofficial releases.Polymira wrote:Hasn't ubuntu quit making their power pc stuff?
