Is this cancelled, or is this still in development?

If you learn anything about the dc scene take everything with a grain of salt. Almost every devoloper doesnt do more than announce something before they drop it.

Re: What ever happened to DCShooter?
I wouldn't say "almost every" as a lot of homebrew stuff has come out as well as emulators and so forth. Personally I can understand as to why they may drop their project as real life issues or time constraints get in the way a lot of the time.RMD wrote:If you learn anything about the dc scene take everything with a grain of salt. Re: What ever happened to DCShooter?
Don't want to sound negative or pessimistic but the DC scene is pretty much done. No one has the time to work on anything and other systems can do what the dc can't. The dream is over. The site population has dropped. However I am happy with all that is on the system. Good devvers made some really kick ass emus and HB on it. However good things come to an end. If anything came out like Dsnes or Snes4all came out full speed I would indeed be in a state of shock.
Have you played dreamcast today?

The dream is dead? How sad. What projects are still in development for the dreamcast?

Re: What ever happened to DCShooter?
I know of several developers (including myself) that are working on large-scale DC projects in the background. Just because people haven't come out and formally announced their games, doesn't mean they aren't working their asses off on them.
Relating to what RMD said, many devvers don't want to make public announcements regarding their projects for that very reason. We aren't going to show anything off until we have something worthy of being shown off.
The Dream isn't dead yet, and I doubt it will be for quite awhile.

Re: What ever happened to DCShooter?
I modelled the main ship (on the screenshots on DCS), which was later replaced by another, more slim-lined and aggressive design.
The models i did for the second one can be seen below.
There are also more enemies already modelled including a couple of bosses (if i remember correctly)
Your can check more screenshots here and here.
I cant comment on the development status of DCShooter at this time. sorry

Beautiful, that's some real talent you have there.
