That looks cool considering it's on DS, I'd play it. Where'd you find these shots? I'm calling fake =P

I guess it makes sense for portable Halo to appear on the DS since:
1. Nintendo and Microsoft aren't exactly competitors in this generation.
2. Microsoft would never release anything on a Sony console ever - PSP or otherwise.

Brian Jarrard: This rumor has been circulating for a while and as you know we even saw some real life screens and assets this week. Ultimately it's up to Microsoft to decide if and when they take Halo to a different platform. That particular demo was in fact created and I believe it was an unsolicited pitch a long time ago but nothing ever came of it.
^^that's what i was thinking. It doesnt appear to use the touchpad to aim, and to walk around with just the dpad would suck. It'd be like doom with new levels.
If they did take halo portable, it would be better to have it on the psp. Better gfx and the "analog" nub.
Actually, it does use the touchpad to aim, the d-pad to move, and the shoulder buttons for the weapons (there is dual-wielding). The beta only had one level that was just an arena for multiplayer. The entire game was based on the Rogue Agent engine and wasn't in full development. From what I read, the quick demo was only used as a sales pitch to show how the game would run on the DS and how the multiplayer aspects would work.
All that information pretty much came from the guy on IGN.
