What to do with 10 Dream Cast Katana Dev Systems
Ok, so I'm the ops manager for a bay area game company and we recently moved offices. In doing so we had to clear out a storage locker and I found 10 of these dev kits. No one who is currently with the company ever worked with them and we didn't even know we had them!
Any way no one here wants them. I called Sega and they said to call "so and so" who transfered me to "so and so" who hung up on me. After a week of that I gave up. I would feel bad just throwing them away. They power up just fine but there is no software installed. Is there really a market for these? I was thinking of using them to make some book shelves

You could probably sell them on ebay, and make at least something on them.
Just curious if you could take a picture of them and all. I'd actually like to see if you have anything I'd be interested in (I'd give you what I think is fair for whatever I'd want).
Oh, and if you just want to give any stuff away, I'd be happy to take it off your hands.

I'd be happy to take some off your hands if you're actually willing to resort to throwing them away. You can sell them but the market right now is rather poor unless you have something special on your hands, and thats not easy to find out unless you've got the proper software.
I am in the North Bay, send me a PM and we can work something out.

A few fries short of a happy meal.
You do realize a dev kit is about 26lbs, making shipping to Brazil at least $100 USD.
Correction:
$134.90, bare EMS with nothing else tacked on. Last time I tried to ship to Brazil they sent it back claiming it to be undeliverable, didn't even pass customs for some reason (Brazilian customs).

That's pretty expensive, but I'm quite sure I can get the money. Thanks for the info about the customs though.APE wrote:You do realize a dev kit is about 26lbs, making shipping to Brazil at least $100 USD.

Ok, I'm not lazy just busy
But these things are heavy and I really don't have the time to get these packed and shipped. If you are in the bay area and I have some left I'll be happy to sell you one. I figure $50 is more then fair from what I have been about to work out today.

If it could help for homebrew developpement, i'll be very interested to buy you one, but i'm in France, so it would be expensive and hard for you to ship it. I hope someone will find a solution because it would be very sad to throw them....
