Windows Fundamentals for Legacy PCs legality

Post by SuperMegatron »

I have a machine with a windows xp serial on it. I lost the cd and I was told that windows fundamentals works with xp cd keys. Can I legally use my cd key with this and get the updates or do I have to download the exact same version of xp and plug in my cd key?

I doubt it. Give it a shot though I guess. Windows FLP is a completly stripped down of xp for legacy pcs. I tried to install it on one of my boxes. It errored out after 10 minutes into the install though :/

Yeah, Wikipedia says 64 MB minimum, 128 recommended.
