Oops, that version has a bug which stops saving properly, don't burn it!
Wait till I can find another place to upload 1.0a.

hey Tyne, thanx man! u are my hero!
i have QuakeDC with frikbot, and was anoyed of play due to i could save
i only have a standard vmu to all my games and wouldn't erase them all just to save quake
here in brazil is much hard to find a vmu to buy and quake isn't worth sacrificate all my saves, i'd play q3 arena instead
but if ur little miracle works, i would be eternally thankfull

It works!
My save was 8 blocks :)
good job tyne.

one complaint is your binding of all the dc_d pad directions to impulse 100. Two of the dpad buttons are needed to do weapon selection.

oh... one other complaint is that your defult.cfg only has the controller keys configured. Which makes the keyboard not work. Some people do have dreamcast keyboards :P

one way to fix both of those is to just paste this bit at the bottom of your own defult.cfg (eather the original or your own custom cfg) and useing it instead of the one packaged with the mod currently.

Well I posted it as front page news, as this is a nice improvement. And ya it be nice to have in JoyMenu.

i do have one problem...whenever i saved a quake DC game, it saved it fine but it wouldnt let me save over it. So if i wanted to save the game as i go along, i have to save multiple files...which gets rather annoying ^_^ anyone else have this problem?

if u have the standard vmu, try to remove it, delete the old file, put it back, and save he game
can be boring to do it whenever you want to save, but is easyer than wait for a new mod. it would be great too!

This mod is cool,

finally I can try and complete Quake! Im going to wait until it gets put into Joymenu though then the whole Quake DC package will be pretty much complete.

Im presuming it doesnt work with raptors though... :( see if aJay can sort that one out I suppose.

Yeah I agree me too,
This is something that has been needed for ages,
and Im glad someone had the capabilities and inclination to actually do it,
that said, joymenu is too cool to go without,
so if this could be included it would make my day. (anyone...)

Only Fragger can add full joymenu support right now... since he's the only one with the full source still (not trying to rush you Fragger)

I have started adding the small save support to Frik's menu. Probibly take less than an hour to finish it. But... its gettiing that free hour thats the problem.

It'd take less than 10 minutes to add the small save code into FrikaC's menu if you know what you're doing. Also remember the code is marked, just read the text file.

I wonder if Fragger has read this yet ..
