hey Tyne, thanx man! u are my hero!
i have QuakeDC with frikbot, and was anoyed of play due to i could save
i only have a standard vmu to all my games and wouldn't erase them all just to save quake
here in brazil is much hard to find a vmu to buy and quake isn't worth sacrificate all my saves, i'd play q3 arena instead
but if ur little miracle works, i would be eternally thankfull

It works!
My save was 8 blocks
good job tyne.
one complaint is your binding of all the dc_d pad directions to impulse 100. Two of the dpad buttons are needed to do weapon selection.
oh... one other complaint is that your defult.cfg only has the controller keys configured. Which makes the keyboard not work. Some people do have dreamcast keyboards
one way to fix both of those is to just paste this bit at the bottom of your own defult.cfg (eather the original or your own custom cfg) and useing it instead of the one packaged with the mod currently.

Code: Select all
//
// Dreamcast Controls
//
bind "DC_TRIGL" "+jump"
bind "DC_TRIGR" "+attack"
bind "DC_A" "+back"
bind "DC_Y" "+forward"
bind "DC_B" "+moveright"
bind "DC_X" "+moveleft"
bind "DC_DUP" "impulse 10"
bind "DC_DDOWN" "impulse 12"
bind "DC_DRIGHT" "impulse 100"
// bind "DC_DLEFT" "impulse 99" // saved for other use
My old Sig was broken. Enter the new Sig!

Well I posted it as front page news, as this is a nice improvement. And ya it be nice to have in JoyMenu.
If you think typing 'make' is hard, forget coding.
If you can't figure out the commands to DC-Tool, forget coding.
If you think coding is as easy as typing printf("Hello World\n"); , shoot yourself.

Thanks TheDumbAss, I completely forgot about weapon switching and keyboard support, I'll upload a new version as soon as possible.

Only Fragger can add full joymenu support right now... since he's the only one with the full source still (not trying to rush you Fragger)
I have started adding the small save support to Frik's menu. Probibly take less than an hour to finish it. But... its gettiing that free hour thats the problem.

I've read .Tyne wrote:I wonder if Fragger has read this yet ..
But as I said in the other topic, the next version will take time to be released, because I really want to make it the final version. I guess it will take about 2 months.
English speakers, please don't get angry at me...
