REZ is one of the greatest Dreamcast games, but i personally think that its not worth that pile of GDs (assuming they're original and in decent shape)... I don't know, if you only collect rare DC stuff maybe it's worth it, but if you still play them then its crazy to do it... cause you'll open REZ eventually.
You might keep an eye on (http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-8t- ... -43-4.html) they're out of stock now... i bought this last one, BUT they have new stuff quite frequently... and don't let the "pre-owned" text bother you all the "pre-owned" stuff i have bought from them was factory sealed (with spine card). They mean pre-owned if the game has been in another store before, but didn't get sold.

Usually when someone asks what to do is because he has already made up his mind, but needs the approval of someone else, to feel comfortable ;)

I would say, cool down and don't get crazy, but its your decision after all :)

Sheesh, get a hold of yourself and take a good look at that list of games. Now do you really think you will have more fun with a single game than you will have with all those other games? :o
Grandia 2 being the best RPG: ~30 hours of quality fun
Soul Calibur being the best Fighter: countless hours of fun
Shenmue: Part of gaming history
Powerstone: Multiplayer mayhem
MSR: One of the best race games on DC

I can understand that a sealed Rez is considered something rare and it's worth a lot. But when you open it up a lot of the value is gone, and I don't think you will leave it sealed, otherwise there's nothing left to play. Just look at the games I wrote down and think for yourself if Rez can offer you what those games can offer all together ;)
You feel at ease as you flock with the masses,
What do you see with your heads in their asses?
Keep on railing at what I believe,
Call me insane and I am proud to be.

Hell no! Rez is pretty good, but not that great.
Lines join in faint discord and the Stormwatch brews
. . a concert of Kings as the white sea snaps
. . at the heels of a soft prayer
. . whispered

No. No you shouldn't. You're are an idiot if you trade those off for one game that could be defective. The guy who offered you that may know this already.

Is there any way of telling without opening the seal?

An appended product code, or different barcode number perhaps?

Would be useful information to know.

IMHO: No trade at all!

if you just want to play Rez, try to find a Jap version or maybe a used copy, don't trade everything for just 1 game.

Nope, but I bet you the guy has that in mind. If you do indeed trade with him, and you got the crummy pack, he won't trade back with you because he'll say you opened it. And you can't do anything about it.

Hey, don't do it. Everyone in this topic told you not to trade all that away for one single game that may not work. You have been warned. Just don't post another topic on this board saying "I GOT SCREWED!"
