Prom...

Well, I just realized today that prom is only a month away...
I can't decide if I want to go or not, but I probably should because my class is arranging the whole thing. Getting a date would be easy, but in all honesty, I just don't care in the least about it.

So anyhoo...are you guys going this year/have you had prom yet?

I didnt go to mine, I would have but our class didn't do well at all in our fund raising, so tickets to the prom were $150 on top of tux rental, limo rental and all the other crap you need to pay for. Wasn't gonna spend that much to go to my prom.

Nope. I feel bad that I've missed pretty much all the major senior events to just stay and lock myself in my room, but I don't have a date. And without a date, I'm without a reason to go.

I decided the day before, and bought a suit at Value City the day of- about an hour before it started. It was aweful, but I was forced to go by my parents since I was a senior. ot worth it, even with a date.

I went.

It was a waste of money.

Didn't get laid, and the girl I was seeing at the time dumped me a month later.

Prom sucks.

I might go as friends with a girl I've known since I was three but only if she gets her head out of her ass and quits chasing complete jerks (she was dumped a month ago and is still wallowing in her sorrow).

Only thing is, I hate to dance and don't exactly look too hot while doing it.

I'm going. i got a date a week ago, so we're going together. i can't dance, but i know that my cousin will be there and he dances worse than me so i will look good by comparison.

I figured if I went, I'd lease or rent or whatever dealerships have that new caddilac roadster or maybe a new 350z or a new corvette instead of a limo....

Heh. If I were to go to prom this year, I'd either be a chaperone, or I'd get arrested. I went to prom when I was a freshman, because I was invited by a senior. I didn't have a junior year, because I skipped it. I didn't go to my senior prom, because my date's dad told her less than a week before the prom that she was going with somebody else. Instead, my best friend and I went to King's Dominion for the day. We thought about going to after-prom, but crashed out on the couch at my house before the after-prom started.

My school has a tradition about seniors going free, so I went. My tux rental was about $75, a corsage was $15, dinner $20. My date spent $30 on her dress, and the ticket was $20. She was a random friend of my "homie 4 Life", and it rocked. It ended up getting on our senior video, me looking geeky, with some hot chick who didn't go to our school. It was... fun as hell.

Junior Year, I took a lesbian, we did the Cedar Point thing the day afterwords, she got sick, I went home with my backup ride, but it was all awesome, cuz I spent the ride home with one of my best friends and his gf, and I made a friend for life outta the lesbian.

Prom is good. Just make the most of it.

Oh, and I can't dance.
