xinghong vcd player

This forum is for discussion pertaining to homebrew and indie software for the Dreamcast, such as homebrew games, emulators/interpreters, and other homebrew software/applications. Porting requests and developmental ideas are not to be made here; you can make those here. If you need any help burning discs for homebrew software, this is the place to ask as well.

Apparently the first one sucked but the second version was supposed to be good. I haven't bought either of them so I can't verify it but that's what I've heard.

I just got my first VCD in the mail. ( I was about to post a message about this) and I have the VCD player you are talking about. Well I am not shure which version I have but I can tell you it lags in speed. And that is what I was gonna ask you people about. Is there any way to speed it up? I heard there is some way to play it through gyplay, is that better? And there is a second version???

Hope you know how to rip vcd's, check out my gyplay posts over in the emulation main area.
Need a Treamcast, Dreamcast modchip, HUGE DC memory card, ASCII-like DC fighter pad, or Saturn Gameshark with tons of backup memory? PM me.

I have seen what I think is the first version and it is bad for speed and has tons of weird artifacts on the screen. That's all I can say on this topic, just avoid the 1st gen of this disc.

I have the Xinghong one. Don't buy it. It's ok for quality, but It sucks with sound. It also gets out of sync right away.
