PS2 DivX Player/PS2reality.
To anyone who has trid it/uses it how is it? Can it produce better results than DCDivX? I want to be able to convert my fansubs into almost as high-qaulity as they are and watch them on my TV (Comp screens make me sick??).
How is it video wise? How is it audio wise?

You can to use PS2CDGen, a free piece of homebrew software. It's included with the download, I think.

Make sure you read the instructions, too - you might have to mess with CDMage to get it working right.Inu_Sess__ wrote:Thanks, I have that and didnt even think about using it.

Just throw the three files from the media player into the cd2gen thing az was talking about, then throw in less than 650 megs worth of Divx or Xvid movies or anime. There IS a limit to how good the quality can be. I reccomend keeping the bitrate down to less than 1000, and keep the audio where its at, if you find you need to re-encode the video so the ps2media player wont skip. Try and see what you can do with it. It's a great media player.
It even supports MP3 playback, though ive forgotten how to start that function up.
xvid is supported, and maybe ogg, im not sure about that one. mp3 playback should also support 320vbr as well, i *think* but just use a few cd-r and see what you can get away with.

Check the topic in OT for info on how to sign up. I paid like 10 bucks to register back a few months ago, and it was a closed beta. It's open now, and free to boot, for the time being. take advantage! its a great mmorpg.
I dont expect it to be free for much longer. use bit torrent to get the 570meg setup files. or try kazaa for it.
