I haven't been at this site, in how long? "Someone" IM'd me and told me to drop in and just say hi. Well, hi. One of the reasons why I stopped coming here (other than forgetting) is because of Xbox

. Once I got that, my DC playtime pretty much died, although it did pick up when Half-Life was leaked

. I couldn't even get my trademark avatar

, oh well.

If you're wondering where I've been hanging out, it's been Gamerweb forums, XenGamers forums (although I recently left there), Halo.Bungie.Org forums (although I don't post much there anymore), and now, Team Xbox quite often. A few months ago, someone (forgot who) told me to post, I shrugged it off

Then SYSTEMatic told me (I know him personally) and I also shrugged that off.

And today, Xylene told me on AIM, and I was feeling bored, so I posted.

No real minor changes except that like a year after I got my GCN at launch I got rid of (didn't like it) and traded it for Steel Battalion, which is a cool game.

I still do play DC, just not as much, I've recently been playing Cosmic Smash, Bangai-O, and of course Half-Life, and even though I beat Headhunter months ago, I'm working through that again

LOL. I've got that a lot, but SB is out of print now. I didn't use my GC at all pretty much, and in a year, there were only 2 games which I considered worth owning: SSBM (which I got tired of) and Metroid Prime (which I borrowed for a day). I HATED Eternal Darkness and Resident Evil. Super Monkey Ball was nothing special. Super Mario Sunshine was boring and disappointing. Rogue Leader and Pikmin were too short. Animal Crossing was very boring. And no, I'm not a Zelda fan

*hides*. So with barely any of the main games appealing to me, and not many future games I wanted, why keep the system? I could always get one now, for $130 new with Metroid if I wanted, but I don't see a reason too, plus, only 2 of my friends have GCN and all they have is PSO.

You do realise stell battalion is pretty expensive (with the huge controller) and also has a limited run, which means it will accumulate value over time

The gamecube on the other hand is very common and is falling in price (especially here in the UK with a flurry of special offers) and will decrease in value over time

So it may be seen as a wise investment, but on the other hand the GC has quite a few good games out and a load of major games coming out in the very near future and it's games combined have a much much much better longetivity than just one game (that i heard was just an average mech title and is hyped up a lot to the controller and limited run)

Either way, Steel Batallion is $200 and the GC is $150... so the investment was worth it.
