Ack, my comp's beeping at me!!!

Post by El Dokteer »

Alright. Since last night, after about an hour or so of use, my comp starts to beep at me, using the internal buzzer. My temperatures are definitely normal, 26*C for my CPU and 24*C for my internal... I have no viruses, and all of my components are working. What is going on, and how can I figure out what this beeping is?

Thanks

Find out what BIOS brand you have and go on google and search for beep codes for that brand. That should help you identify the problem, from there you can troubleshoot it :)

Hehe, I fixed it. Turns out a program I had running was causing my computer speaker to buzz every few seconds, and I had no idea this program was active. I disabled the dealie.

That's the first thing I do when I assemble a new PC (for myself that is).
I can't stand those annoying beebs at bootup.

EDIT: If you want to play old school PC games make sure it's plugged back in.
