I may take you up on that, thanks, man :) I'll get back to you, I need to check the boards of a few of the systems lying around to see if that processor would work in any of them.

Mine is about to be upgraded significantly, so this won't be true for long.

Custom Built, but the case has a badge marked 'My Computer Shop'
  • Athlon TBird 800MHz
    256MB RAM
    40GB HDD (primary)
    10GB HDD (secondary)
    16x LG CD-RW
    1.44MB floppy disk drive
    Yamaha sound card
Generic PCI 10/100 network card (for network)
A large hole in the front of the case because I lost one of the 5.25" bay covers when we moved.
A somewhat broken USB joystick 'borrowed' from my younger brother.
A game port joypad plugged into a gameport that stopped working.
Speakers from my Dad's PC because mine died last month.
TNT2 M64 graphics card, despite repeated attempts to upgrade it. All the GeForce/newer cards I tried broke or didn't work.
I really need a new GFX card and some new speakers, and I'm probably going to change the CPU as well. The TBird works perfectly, but I'm probably going to need a faster one soon (Doom 3, UT2K3, Battlefield 1942, FreeLancer, loads more than I care to remember).
