Online Dreamcast Gaming for all to enjoy!
Straight from sega.com:
"As of August 1, 2002, we are ending our Dreamcast subscription service and opening up SegaNet servers to all online gamers. Dreamcast users will be able to enjoy free unlimited head-to-head online gameplay on SegaNet through the end of 2002. At that time, Sega will shift focus to supporting new online titles for other platforms, and servers for Sega-published Dreamcast games may close down."
Yay!
Seganet is no longer required for the games that used to require it. (Ooga Booga, Bomberman Online, a few others I think)
Now, who's up for some Ooga Booga? (I just bought the game, and there is absolutely NOBODY on the servers)
In addition to Ooga Booga, I also have:
Chu Chu Rocket!
Unreal Tournament
Quake 3: Arena
Starlancer
Phantasy Star Online
The Next Tetris: Online Edition
So, anyone want to set up some play sessions?

from what i can tell, its either an online server thinger (kinda like Battle.net... except u pay for it) OR, its an isp... all i know, is it doesnt exist any more, and you can play all the Sega.net games for free nowSlimDady wrote:What is seganet exactly.?? Is that their servers that they were charging to play on. Or is that there internet provider?
Since I got cable I was not able to use my dreamcast online cauz i dont have A BBA, but if seganet is a free isp for dreamcast, that be sweet.??
