Date in Dreamcast

Post by Quzar »

I just wanted ppl to know... i was fiddlin with my DC and discovered! The year date option only allows you to go up to the year 2085 !!! What will happen 83 years from now when i pull out my DC and try to play? Ill tell you what, it will say that it is 1950! Why why why? I could understand if it went from 1999 or even 98(cause of devs using?) to 85 but from 1950 to 2085?? Even if it went back and forth x years from 1999 but these seem to be random numbers!! Does anyone know why?

[edit] YAY!! posting this i became a fast newbie!

no no, I put my DC in an air tight unit in the ground with reinforcement and rust proofed to last 2000 years, the container is is water proof also. I am keeping that in the ground until the year 2100, and at which point a letter will be dispatched to my last living family and can uncover it.
Another great and interesting post brought to you by the DoughBoy!

P.S. I'm looking for A Turbo Express, PM me if you got one.

I'm betting your single surviving descendant will open the sealed box, pop in a DC game, play for 1 minute, then throw it away and go play Tekken 28 on his Microsoft Psi-Box. :o

Hey, Tekken 4 aint that bad.
Its pretty good, but I prefer Virtua Fighter 4 over it though, its the first Virtua Fighter that I liked over a Tekken game.

No no...that was made at Y2k as a temporary fix to the Ysk bug.... most old computers have days like that at like '50-'78 that they go back to 1950 or 1900

Yes, Virtual Fighter 2 is pretty sweet, and Virtua Fighter 4 is the biggest token-taker each time I go to the arcades (well VF4 Evolution anyways). However, Tekken 28...yeah, I guess that sounds about right.

They should have made it like the Saturn - settable to 2099 I believe, and then will keep going still; it won't roll over. As far as I know, no-one knows what the limit is for the Saturn :)
