Wrong forum bud... This has nothing to do with DCEmulation & Homebrew games, therefore it belongs in the Off Topic forum.

RE sucks cause of 1 thing and 1 thing only, SAVE GAMES. I don't like being limited to how many times I can save my game and that is what they do on this game. I think the Tomb Raider Series sucks due to poor control. So I can't vote on this I hate them both. Guess I would have to go with TR though since I actually played it awhile till I hated it. I have 2 RE games and hate them both cause of the poor savegame features.

I'd say I prefer Tomb Raider. The first Resident Evil wasn't really that good for me; there were too many places to go at start to hook me.
But unfortunately, Tomb Raider got repetitive after the first one. They didn't really added any gameplay material to TR 2, 3 and 4. They just had prettier graphics.

RE
About 6 years ago, I nearly brawled with a guy in funcoland, because he said Tomb Raider was a lot better than Resident Evil. I was like "Have you even PLAYED Resident Evil?!" Resident Evil blows it away in every aspect. And what do you mean by limiting saves? There were like 50 save ribbons in a 3 hour game, how much would you need to save?

Thank you DCemuN00B, for making the hardest poll I will ever have to answer. I am at a standstill. I have no clue which to pick. They are both great games. Unfortunatly, since there is no clear winner, I'll have to go by which game started a better series.
RE2 TR2...tie.
RE3N TR3...tie.
RECV TRLR...Resident Evil.
RE(Gamecube) TRC...Resident Evil.
Okay, after viewing the results, I'll have to go with Resident Evil.

Tomb Raider's controllers were too terrible for me to get into the game. If the creaters designed it to be more fun to play, than more fun to look at (the only reason it got so popular was from the central character's design, in my opinion).
While Resident Evil's controls weren't completely ideal for a game, they still worked for the game. So for that reason, I (would) pick Resident Evil. Having better characters, storylines, and weapons helps too.

I believe this is an invalid argument. This comparing apples with oranges (survival horror vs. adventure). I enjoyed playing both games with perhaps Tomb Raider getting the nod because of how short Resident Evil was (I think I beat it in 6 hours). RE had a great story and play mechanics, but they need to make the games last loooonger.

Oh my goodness, how dare any of you say Tomb Raider is better than Resident Evil? Resident Evil is 100 times better than Tomb Raider! Tomb Raider is boring. Resident Evil is action packed, I was on my toes the whole way. That goes for the whole series. RE1, RE2, RE3, RE C:V, and REmake. I think we can forget about RE Survivor. Tomb Raider is boring. That goes for the whole series. TR1, TR2, TR3, TRC, and TRLR. I think we can forget about the whole series.

I personally prefer RE over TR, but it must be said that while similar, they are different enough to make this poll not warranted. The differences are not just limited to graphics and controls, but gameplay (jumping and running to get to a section vs. running for your life), atmosphere (with music and lighting), and audience (teenage males who can't get a date vs. late teen/early 20's players who like being scared sh|tless so much that they don't care either way).
That's all for now
