Talk about anything and everything not related to this site or the Dreamcast, such as news stories, political discussion, or anything else. If there's not a forum for it, it belongs in here. Also, be warned that personal insults, threats, and spamming will not be tolerated.
What can I say... It's been a decade and there's still a bunch of us here (the best of us). What I'd hate to see is a few weeks go by without a post, and rapidly the last nail in the coffin has been placed on what has probably been the most influential message board experience of we brave few's lifetimes, and none of us have any way of contacting each other again. So, anyway, let's cut to the chase here: Post all of your online handles, websites, other forums you've become dedicated to, and an email to ensure that whatever happens, maybe one day we'll all meet again on another virtual portal of sorts.

I really wish you fuckers would get on IRC again. IRC is actually slightly more active than it used to be, and a few people have returned like Dilbert.

Sorry to hear everyone's moving on, but I guess everything has it's end.
I don't really think that's the case just yet.
It really seems like people still check these forums and still reply, but no one bothers to start new discussion or anything like that. I understand it because I'm part of more active forum too, so it's difficult to want to come here and start topics. But the thing I enjoy most about this place is the people so maybe I'll start making more. We all should.
I loved IRC, probably had more amusing times there than on the forums. Sadly my time differences now are way out of whack with everyone elses so I sort of gave up.
As for the forums, I still visit daily, but rarely contribute topics because I feel like nothing is going to get a lot of responses. Perhaps that's a bit pessmistic of me, but we're well past the days where a random scrap of gaming news can generate a multiple-page thread.
This place will never die. If it has made it this long then it will continue for a while. Does anything still happen on the irc? I remember going on there a few times a few years ago and it was usually pretty dead.

Most people just idle on there and someone ends up talking and a conversation gets started. It'd be best if you just left your client connected to the channel.

Spambots crawl the web looking for email addresses to spam, so when people post their email addresses they usually post them as text in an image or spell them out so only humans can read them.
I'm around to add snarky replies to other people's threads but I rarely start my own, life just got busy. Feel free to add me on any of those though, I'm active on Twitter, not so much Facebook.
SCO=SCUM=M$=SCO it keeps repeating

There must have been some mistake

I read your post and tested your hypothesis I made 2 topics to see if active discussions could be initiated.
In Off-Topic I started a topic about JCVD's latest flick Universal Soldier (and the series in general), and then for Gaming Forum I made a topic on Super Street Fighter 4. I think both topics were discussion worthy and not discussed on the forum before but appropriate for our demographic, yet both topics discussion ended with in the first day, this post is made around 72 - 96 hours before the topic was created.

This forum is now a very small community. Trying to discuss very specific things is never going to make a busy thread here because anything that interests less than 50% of us is not interesting many people at all. A good example is myself: I have never watched the Universal Soldier movies and I don't like Street Fighter so I didn't click on either topic. I wouldn't on a busier forum either - it's just that me not posting in a thread makes more of a difference here.
We all know this place isn't as active as it once was, but the point is that the people who still come here probably won't be leaving anytime soon. Your 2 threads created 8 posts that wouldn't be here otherwise. If we all did that, it would be a lot more posts everyday. If you really want more replies though, I'd suggest more open questions.
