I think they both can are useful, and should both be used together, I mean it depends on what you want for mp3s I would honestly just stick with winmx, but for software and movies, kazza lite is the better choice of the 2.

KazzaLite is NOT illegal. All it does is block out the ad on the bottom left of the program (its still there, you just cant see it) and blocks out some useless options. It also has replaced the spyware dll with a dummy.
If it was illegal, they would be in court for copyright infringement, but as it is just a modified version, they cant be touched. You will still get the popup ad, and it still directs you to kazaa homepage on start up.

Just dont click yes when it asks you to update to version 'whatever' or you will lose the lite version.

is kazaalite v2 significantly better than 1.7.2 (I use 1.7.2)? Of course, I may download it just to be rid of kazaa's love of downloading the kazaa v2 on its own then popping up to tell me it's been downloading, then after awhile downloading it again, as if I wanted it.

Um....isn't that illegal somehow? (their use of the program to tell your computer to download a file without your knowledge/consent)

heh download v2 and it will tell you to upgrade to v2.2.

v2 has the participation system where users with higher amounts shared & uploaded got rated higher and so get priority over others, v1.7.2 doesn't have this and users of it have a participation level of 0 so have to wait a bit at times.
