curious about my virtual boy....
Im not sure I am going to sell it quite yet, but I am curious to know what you think it might go for.
I have a Virtual Boy, it comes with the visor, controller, a battery pack, and the power adapter plug as well. Also included are 8 games. The games are: wario land, telero boxer, 3d tetris, galactic pinball, mario clash, mario tennis, panic bomber, and virtual league baseball.
Unfortunately, the box got ruined when a pipe burst in my garage. Luckily the virtual boy was in my room at the time.
Anyway, like I said, I am not selling it right now, but if a money pinch comes up the virtual boy is pretty much the next thing in line to sell after my 2 sega saturns. What do you think a virtual boy collection like this might fetch on ebay or even here perhaps?

Re: curious about my virtual boy....
Looking at eBay completed listings they go from $60 to $80 with one to three games. Seems pretty inconsistent as to the final price.

Re: curious about my virtual boy....
No, those only came with the units sold through blockbuster AFAIK. I wish I did, those cases were nice.Calavera wrote:Do you have the hard carrying case?
Yeah, the ebay listings didnt help me much, the two I watched till the end went like this: one system with five games went for 175, while another listing with four games went for 85.01. I dont know why that third game would bump up the price nearly 100 dollars. I dont think it was the games, the listing for 175 had MARIO CLASH, MARIO TENNIS, RED ALARM, TELEROBOXER, AND TETRIS, while the 85 dollar listing had Mario's Tennis, Mario Clash, Red Alarm and Wario Land. I have both telero and tetris, and they arent worth 100 bucks. The only variable I see is the hard carrying case, but is that really gonna bump the price 100 bucks?

I THINK that Wario game is somewhat valuable, not so sure about the rest of the games though.

3D Tetris I think is a somewhat rare game for it. Not as rare as NEster's Funky Bowling. Kills me that I used to have a VB with about every game ever made for it at one time and I traded it along with a lot of money for a N64 (obviously when the N64 was very expensive and hard to get).

I decided not to sell it quite yet. In the long run, it is somethig I dont think I want to part with. There is really nothing like it on the market, and I doubt there will ever be anything like it again.
I have 8/14 games right now, so Ill probably pick up the other games I am missing one by one over time until I have a complete set.

Yeah, there were only 14 officially released games in the US market. There are a few more japanese games made, but I dont see the point in tracking those down. Although there is a virtual fishing game I would like to play.

Re: curious about my virtual boy....
Good luck trying to find Nester's Funky Bowling. I can't even find it for sale ATM, seems like when you do its well over 100 dollars. I think at one time I actually had all the games for it. I bought the system new back Nintendo had basically just given up on it. I remember I paid games ranged from $10 to $15 each and I think I had them all. Well I bet I didn't buy any of the sports ones (wasn't there a baseball and boxing game)? I don't think I had those.
Anyways it was a really fun bowling game though I thought.

Actually I have been tracking the trends on ebay for nesters funky bowling, and they are averaging 25-30 bucks a piece. It doesnt look too hard to find.Veggita2099 wrote:Good luck trying to find Nester's Funky Bowling. I can't even find it for sale ATM, seems like when you do its well over 100 dollars.
