I was upset to see Meet the Spartans on top of the box-office as well, since good sales means they'll just keep making this crap. Before you write off America as being "retarded" however, I would like to point out that:

• All the other movies in US theaters right now also look crappy.
• Most of the people who went to see "Meet the Spartans" are probably between the ages of 12-16 years old.
• Our country doesn't censor half of the internet.

Quite sadly, this just isn't true.

I was at a work meeting (about 80 people aged 25-40) and somebody played this trailer.... there were so many that were laughing at it and wanted to see it. In the trailer when it shows a girl shaving her head next to a pit-- I made a nice quip, " Wow! A pop culture reference from last year! How grand!"

... a few actually got it, but the rest were disgusted with me and claimed I didn't have a sense of humor.
