CD-Rs for burning DC games on.

Post by MontanaFX »

Hi. I have just picked up a DC off eBay and want to burn some games for it on my PC. But before I order some CD-Rs. I was wondering which brand, data size and speed (48x or 52x) is the best to use.

Burning at the lowest speed available for your CD recorder and CD-R disc is recommended.

If buying at a normal retail store, the rule of thumb I use is to buy discs made in Japan. Most discs are made in Taiwan, and there are some good manufacturers there, but there are also some not-so-good ones, and it's not usually possible to tell the difference just by looking at the brand name on the package. In my experience most Japanese discs are made by Taiyo Yuden, which is a highly respected manufacturer.

Hold it against the light. The less you can see through it, the better it is.
