Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. I'm turining into a vampire
So yeah, I'm turning into a vampire in Oblivion. It kinda sucks because my skin is turning really pale and everyone is asking me if I'm feeling alright. I also can't go outside during the day, which is a bitch. What do I do?

Hope you have a save before you went to sleep and fully vamped up?

Re: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. I'm turining into a vampire
People keep saying that I should go to a healer, but I don't know where to find one.
Also, yes I do have a save but that is the night right after the first signs of me becoming a vampire and also someone from the dark brotherhood talks to me. I'm keeping that one so I can go back and do the dark brotherhood stuff and get the achievements.

I started the quest to turn back from a vampire. IT involves a lot of farming rare ingredients. Luckily I had a save game from before turning into one and I went back to it. The quest is BS IMO.

I did the vampire gig in Morrowind and Oblivion. Morrowind vampire was a lot more fun.

There is a quest to getting a vampire cure.

Re: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. I'm turining into a vampire
It sound like it is too late to go to a healer and you are going to have to do the quest. It always looked painful to me, so whenever I've been bitten, first thing I do is go to a chapel after I'm done with the fort, dungeon, whatever.
As an FYI, to get rid of aliments such as the one you contract after being bitten, you just need to go to a chapel and pray, unless your character has been up to no good. There are cure disease potions as well. I don't think the basic cure disease spells help at all (and if there are more advanced ones... sound like it is too late for your character now).

Re: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. I'm turining into a vampire
in the end it helps out being one. But if your a bit early into the game it can be irritating. As long as you "feed" at least once a few nights you can be in the sun all you wish. Then when u head out in to oblivion gates and such u can take advantage of great strength as a vampire.

Re: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. I'm turining into a vampire
Oh so I can drink people's blood then be outside? Sweet, I have no problem with that. I'm at the part where you have to go to all the towns and do what the counts/countesses want you do so that hey will send help to Bruma (which is kind of a pain int he butt, and why I don't really want to do the cure vampirism quest. The added strength really helps though).

You can buy a lot of those ingredients in the imperial city, even the bloodgrass. I finished the quest pretty quickly

Re: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. I'm turining into a vampire
Gah, this is really annoying. So I go to do the quest to cure my vampirism, but to get into the Arcane University, you need to get recommendations from all the leaders of the mage guilds. Here is my problem. I can't talk to anyone anymore because everyone is afraid of me. I can't try to impress them or anything, they just say things like "You won't get any of my blood!". So I'm stuck now, what do I do?

Re: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. I'm turining into a vampire
IIRC the dude you have to sepak to is in the publically accessible part of the Mages Guild every day, so you dont actually have to be in the Mages guild to get to talk to him.
Also, drink some blood right before heading off, and vampires have a 'charm' type spell which will let you fool them enough to talk to them. Theres a beggar asleep down near the garden where the thieves guild gets done, and you should be able to drain him dry 'secretly' shortly before dawn.

Re: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. I'm turining into a vampire
Thanks. I realize now that I just need to feed every night, then the effects of the vampirism is too little and I don't get affected by the sun. I really don't feel like doing all those quests, plus I want to be a vampire later on so I'm just gonna feed. I finally know how to feed and not get caught (I feed off guild members at night
). Thanks for your help.

Re: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. I'm turining into a vampire
I spent aaaaaaaaages in game as a vampire. they rock for everything except doing quests where you have to speak to someone specific during the daytime. I highly recommend if you want to live the 'vamp lyfe' you can get to a house / sewer / cave / somewhere indoors where you can hang out at night within seconds of entering a city.
The dark brotherhood hideout is pretty good when you can get to it through the well, I spent most of my time using the Wizards Tower (DLC) to further my vampiric career, because its almost perfectly suited for it - you can hang out there for a few days until you're fully vamped up, and as soon as its getting dark use one of its teleports to instantly access any city; plus fast travelling back to it you can make it indoors in the middle of the day while fully vamped up without dieing.
The only downside to being a vampire is lots of boring waiting around in caves until its dark and not being able to safely fast travel anymore to be honest, if you can get round both of those it totally owns.

I thought you hated this series, Nyar? Maybe my memory is hazy.
