Log on at 7PM EST, post your GT here if you intend to come. Ill send chat invites, and set up a 4 player game, taking turns. We'll run seperate games if we get 8 or more attendees.

Free for me. I got a 1600 point card from Gaminglagoon.com. I also got Marble Blast Ultra with it, but I regret that already seeing as how it's nothing but assholes online with it. It's funny how the attitude of gamers changes from game to game.

I just realized something while playing tonight: Doom online is basically a battle of who can get the best weapon first. No skill involved. I'll still play tomorrow night, but I'm just saying I now see why nobody plays it. It's not because it's old, it's because it sucks.

Its more likely being charged twice to play a 20 year old videogame that will run on most any PC currently working. Even iPods.

Not slamming you or anything, but the reason I got a shutout win over you yesterday was not because "I got the best weapon first", but because Ive been playing it online since 1998, and know quite a few maps inside out, particulary the one we played on. On other maps I never play or played on, it would have been closer to even.

Like in any FPS, whoever has more experience and thus a better understanding of the maps usually wins.

Map memorization helps where you can make yourself a nice loop over the armor and health packs all the while picking up your weapon of choice. Whoever does get the better weapon tends to be the victor though, especially if your knowledge of the map is on par with the other players.

I wanted to get this game a lot but there were two things that pushed me away from it.

1. being that I have this game for like every system in the world.
2. I can play online with the PC.

but the main one is that I am a southpaw player and I could not stand the controls or get used to them.
