NesterDC v7.1 Game Genie Codes

This forum is for discussion pertaining to homebrew and indie software for the Dreamcast, such as homebrew games, emulators/interpreters, and other homebrew software/applications. Porting requests and developmental ideas are not to be made here; you can make those here. If you need any help burning discs for homebrew software, this is the place to ask as well.

NesterDC v7.1 Game Genie Codes

Post by zman »

How do you add and enable game genie codes for this emulator. I found out about the R trigger + start button to get to the game genie screen, but the codes did not appear to be enabled. This was for Dragon Warrior. Also I would like to add a few more game genie codes into the system for this game.

Also I found this page.

This page has a link to.

http://www.pqrs.org/~tekezo/nesterdc/

Which contains this tool.

Nester Game Genie Assistant for NesterDC. Is this any good or usefull.

If I do end up making a new cd. Would I be better off using NesterDC SE or is that to much of a hassle. Is their a demo build of this emulator, or do I need to make one from scratch. I am reluctant to navigate th java script build program involved. NesterDCSEBuilder.exe is not an appealing program. Looks like a complicated mess for an easy build with the manual methods involved. That is why a demo disc would be great, where I could just manualy add the roms and what nots to be included and use bootdreams to compile. Easy 1,2,3 method.

Anyways, my focus is on the game genie stuff. Any good info on that would be appreciated.

I found this. (Helped myself in a way.)

http://www.dcevolution.net/goto.php?id=65 - There's a ZIP file with all known GameGenie codes included. Just download, burn and browse the CD's content in Explorer.
